FHA Spot Approvals go away November 1!

Unfortunately, the guidelines pertaining to condo purchases with Fha financing are changing for the worse. We knew changes were coming, but until recently we didn't know what exactly those changes would be. Now it's been revealed that part of the change includes doing away with the so called "spot approvals" for condos. It used to be that if a condo development was not already on HUD's list of approved condos, then the borrower could request a spot approval that would then place the devlopment on the list after an inspection. This allowed for Fha financing to be used even when the building is not already on the approved list. Now that this option is going away, there will be no way to obtain the financing unless the development is already approved, and I…
