Claremont is an absolutely beautiful area which borders Berkeley. This area was once part of Vicente Peralta's land, which was given to him by his father in 1842. The most famous landmark of this neighborhood is the Claremont Hotel, which was completed in 1915. Claremont Heights and Claremont Estates are the two subdivisions which were built there, with many beautiful Colonial, Mediterranean and Contemporary homes with amazing views of the Bay.
