Buying Oakland Real Estate

Buying real estate is an involved process that includes working with a group of professionals, not just your Realtor. My role as your Realtor is to prepare purchase contracts, coordinate with your mortgage professional, title company, appraiser, home inspector and others to make sure your transaction goes as smoothly as possible and that your interests are put above all others.

As your Realtor, I will negotiate on your behalf throughout the process, attend home inspections, make sure all the proper documents have been executed, and generally act in a "fiduciary" manner which means my job is to put your interests above all others, including my own.

Often first time buyers, or those who haven't bought or sold real estate recently are not aware of the fact that as a buyer, you pay no commission to any agent. In a typical real estate transaction, the buyers' agent is paid out of the proceeds that the seller is paying his/her Realtor. This is usually a pleasant surprise to first time home buyers, who often assume that they must pay us to represent them.
